How to Enter
No purchase necessary. Enter for a chance to win an Apple iPhone 17. To enter, visit the official Vanguard Security Systems contest page at vanguardsystems.ca/contest-rules and complete the entry form by submitting your:
- Full legal name; and
- Valid Canadian phone number.
Only one (1) entry per person will be accepted. Entries must be submitted on or before the contest closing date of May 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM AST. No other form of participation will be accepted.
In the event of a dispute, the entry associated with the submitted phone number will be deemed the official entry. Entrants found to have submitted more than one entry will be disqualified.
This contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Apple Inc.
Eligibility
To be eligible to enter and win, an entrant must:
- Be a Canadian resident, 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
- Provide a valid full name and Canadian phone number.
- Submit a qualifying entry by the contest closing date.
- Comply with all contest rules.
The contest is not open to employees, officers, directors, shareholders, or agents of Vanguard Security Systems, its affiliated companies or subsidiaries, or members of their immediate families, or persons with whom they are domiciled.
Entries submitted by unauthorized means, bots, scripts, or other automated methods will be disqualified.
Prizes
One (1) Apple iPhone 17. Approximate retail value: $1,099.00 CAD. Model, colour, and storage capacity subject to availability at time of award.
Every eligible entrant who does not win the Grand Prize will receive a $300.00 CAD credit applicable toward any Vanguard Security Systems installation, product, or service. Credits will be issued via the phone number provided at entry within thirty (30) days of the draw date. Credits are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of issue, are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be combined with other promotional offers unless expressly permitted in writing by Vanguard Security Systems.
All prizes must be accepted as awarded and with no substitutions. Prizes are not transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Vanguard Security Systems reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equivalent or greater value if the awarded prize becomes unavailable for any reason.
The chances of winning the Grand Prize are dependent upon the total number of eligible entries received during the contest period.
The Draw
A random draw for the Grand Prize will take place on or about May 20, 2026, at Vanguard Security Systems' business location in Moncton, New Brunswick, conducted by a Vanguard Security Systems representative.
The winner's name will be announced publicly on Vanguard Security Systems' official social media pages following the draw. The selected entrant will also be contacted directly via the phone number provided at the time of entry within four (4) business days of the draw date.
If the selected entrant cannot be reached within four (4) business days of the initial contact attempt, or if the entrant does not meet all contest requirements, another entry will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries. This process will repeat until the prize is awarded.
In order to win, the selected entrant must:
- Correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question; and
- Sign and return a standard declaration and release form within seven (7) days of receipt.
If the selected entrant is under the age of majority in their province of residence, a parent or legal guardian must read, accept, and sign the Contest Rules and release form on their behalf.
Failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question, comply with the Contest Rules, or return the required release form within the specified timeframe will result in disqualification and another entry will be selected.
Privacy
By entering the contest, entrants consent to the collection and use of their name and phone number by Vanguard Security Systems for the purposes of administering the contest and contacting the selected winner.
The winner further consents to the public announcement of their name on Vanguard Security Systems' official social media pages, without payment or additional compensation.
Entrants' personal information will be handled in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation and will not be sold or shared with unaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes.
General Conditions
All entries become the property of Vanguard Security Systems. Vanguard Security Systems assumes no responsibility for lost, late, incomplete, or misdirected entries.
Vanguard Security Systems reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify, or suspend this contest at any time without prior notice, subject to applicable law.
By entering, all entrants agree to abide by these Contest Rules. The decisions of Vanguard Security Systems' representatives are final and binding and not subject to appeal.
Vanguard Security Systems, its officers, employees, agents, and representatives are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this contest or the acceptance or use of any prize.
This contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations of Canada. Void where prohibited by law.
